Captain

stefano biundoStefano Biundo, Global Air Charters Captain, enjoys traveling to Asia, collecting cars and spending time with his family. Read on to learn more about Stefano.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Italy in a little town near Lake Como. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to live in a number of countries, including Sydney and Singapore. In 2006, I moved to the United States. Before landing in Seattle, I spent time in Dallas, Chicago and Miami.

What education and certifications do you hold?

A degree in aeronautics and air traffic control, and an Airline Transport Pilot License.

What makes GAC stand apart from other private charters?

I cannot name any other company where most of its employees are under 40 years old, with a substantial amount of international experience. Additionally, we offer the best customer service out there. We never miss a trip!

What is your favorite thing about working for GAC?

The friendship among crew members. My coworkers are not only the people I work with; they are also some of my best friends.

What motivates you to do the best on the job?

I want our clients to remember us and fly with GAC again.

What specific moment made you realize why you do what you do?

I was interacting with four people, each from different countries. In watching their gestures, I could tell where they were from. It’s something that you can only learn by traveling and experiencing different cultures. Traveling is one of the perks of my job and witnessing different cultural standards is fascinating.

In your opinion, what makes a good pilot?

The willingness to share tasks to accomplish a mission in the safest and most efficient way. Additionally, it is important to be knowledgeable, respect others’ opinions and be a good leader.

What do you enjoy most about your position?

I like watching “green” pilots becoming more experienced, and that I can contribute to the progression of their careers through guidance.

What was the most fun you’ve had on the job?

Every time I fly, there is something exciting to look forward to, so I can’t specify just one instance.

What is your favorite plane to fly?

The GV. All day, every day!

What memory will you never forget while flying with GAC?

The way the team made me feel at home right when I first joined.

What do you like to do when you aren’t flying?

When I’m not flying, I try to prioritize my family time over all else. I’m a car enthusiast, and I enjoy finding and buying cars for myself and my friends. The hunt and the process of buying a car excite me. Cooking is also something that I enjoy in my time off.

What is your favorite travel destination? Why?

Asia. Cultural differences are very interesting to me. I like to learn what “respect” means in different cultures.

We are glad to have Stefano Biundo on the team!
