Private Jet to St. Tropez

The French Riviera is the ultimate jetset destination

The crown jewels of the Côte d’Azur have become emblematic of the dream vacation: Monaco, Cap d’Antibes, Cannes, and perhaps the most famous of them all, St. Tropez.

Global Air Charters regularly flies to the Southern French coast in the spring and summer, including routine stops in Cannes and Monaco. Our flight coordinators can arrange transportation and other accommodations through our extensive network in the region. Contact us today to learn more about charters to the Mediterranean.

The Legend

Secluded on the coast where the low hills of the Massif des Maures whittle down to the Mediterranean Sea, St. Tropez occupies a sliver of a small peninsula, where the blazing Occitan summer is cooled by ocean breezes on three sides. It was once a sleepy fishing village where Paul Signac and Henri Matisse painted the luminous sunshine reflecting off the jewel-toned buildings.

The town catapulted to international fame as the setting for the 1956 Brigitte Bardot feature, And God Created Woman, and became an integral New Wave backdrop in films like Bonjour Tristesse, La Piscine, and La Cage aux Folles.

This exposure transformed St. Tropez into a luxury playground for the jetset crowd. Today it is home to more yachts than fishing boats and is most famous for its beaches and nightlife.

Arrival

St. Tropez has not become overrun by tourism, thanks to the fact that its position along the Côte d’Azur is not particularly easy to reach. Many vacationers arrive by boat from Cannes.

The closest commercial airports are a significant distance from St. Tropez, but the small Aéroport du Golfe de Saint Tropez (LFTZ) is just 15 minutes outside of town. Being able to precisely tailor your arrival for maximum convenience is just another perk of flying with a jet charter company.

Events in St. Tropez

Polo Rider Cup, June 21–29, 2024

A collection of the world’s best polo clubs playing over 10 days of spirited competition, the Polo Rider Cup is contested each summer at the Polo Resort & Country Club de Saint-Tropez in the nearby town of Gassin. The club also hosts other equestrian competitions throughout the year that always attract a fashionable crowd.

Fête de la Musique, June 21, 2024

Cities and towns across France celebrate the summer solstice with a night of music and revelry. Shops stay open late, night markets emerge, with bands and buskers making music in the streets. The Carnival-like atmosphere keeps the dancing going all night long.

Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, September 26 – October 6, 2024

One of the world’s most prestigious regattas, Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, will treat spectators to over 250 yachts harnessing the autumn winds in the gulf and celebrating the end of the season with some spirited racing. You can charter a luxury yacht for the best view of the action.

Hit the Beach

To soak up the sun like Brigitte Bardot, head to Pampelonne Beach, St. Tropez’s most famous. It’s over five kilometers of pristine white sand, perfect for celebrity-spotting and dining at beachside cabanas. Plage de Tahiti is home to several luxury beach clubs with private beach areas. If lounging is the only thing on your to-do list, those might be your dream accommodations.

Dine in Style

Befitting its high-end clientele, there are several Michelin-starred restaurants in St. Tropez. Make sure to try the local favorite dessert — tarte tropézienne is brioche filled with pastry cream and dusted in icing sugar. The bright red terrace at Senequier is a perfect place to try it alongside a digestif.
