Formula 1 Season Opener

Bahrain waterfront formula 1 schedule

The jet set will flock to the Bahrain International Circuit for the first race of the new F1 season

The sport of Formula 1 has seen unprecedented growth in the past two years. The 2023 season offers 24 Grands Prix worldwide, the most races ever scheduled in an F1 season.

We had great success during the 2022 season. New clients are chartering our airframe to several Grands Prix, signaling heightened interest in the sport. Looking ahead to 2023, we are excited about a new F1 season, participating in the sport’s growth, and delivering our clients to many fabulous locations worldwide, starting in Bahrain.

Welcome to Bahrain

Race weekend will open to spectators on March 3, 2023, with a much-anticipated practice session after a productive off-season. Chartered jets will flood into Bahrain International Airport worldwide in the days leading up to the Friday practice session, Saturday qualifying, and Sunday race.

The opening Grand Prix of the F1 season receives more attention than most other races as teams emerge from the offseason with new drivers, enhanced cars, and new sponsors. Bahrain International Circuit is a technical course intertwined with four high-speed straightaway sections, making it the perfect opening venue for a season of dramatic racing.

Exquisite Accommodations in Bahrain

There are several options for your race weekend stay in Bahrain, and we list three here that are still available and relatively close to the circuit. During events like F1 Grands Prix, some people like to be in the heart of the action while others look for a respite to get away from the crowds. These luxury resort options will work for any racegoer:

Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa

Suppose you’re looking for something close to the action of a race weekend that also offers the experience of an Arabian luxury escape. In that case, this Sofitel resort and spa is your perfect option. The suites here are thoughtfully appointed and provide a comfortable yet chic environment. The Opera and Royal Suites also offer a private pool with views of the Persian Gulf. Best of all, you are only an eight-minute drive from the race circuit.

Al Areen Palace and Spa

This resort is an absolute gem offering bespoke experiences in cuisine and lavish living. The Al Areen Palace and Spa’s traditional/contemporary blend of architecture and surrounding grounds make it unique. We always appreciate cultural immersion wherever we can find it.

The resort is situated 11 minutes south of the Bahrain International Circuit and surrounded by several attractions to fill in the hours spent away from the racetrack. If you’re bringing a group of six or more, the Royal Villa or the three-bedroom Premium Villa will blow you away and provide ample space for everyone in the group.

Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay

Few international resort chains offer the level of experience as Four Seasons. This property is in Bahrain’s capital city, Manama, which is a 35-minute drive north of the Sakhir Desert and the Bahrain Grand Prix. The location is one-of-a-kind, situated on a private island in Bahrain Bay amid the decadence of the bustling metropolis.

The accommodations at the resort are contemporary and thoughtful; you will feel right at home. The island’s south side also has an exquisite private beach to enjoy. This location is our top pick for those wanting access to the downtown area and not mind the 35-minute drive to the circuit.

An Exciting F1 Season Ahead

We think 2023 will be a phenomenal year of world-class racing with the addition of the Grands Prix in the United States and the return of Qatar as a host city. The FIA has limited teams to a cost cap of $135M. Making for a more competitive opening race in Bahrain and a more competitive season of racing overall.
