Sterling Lock is originally from Madison, WI and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in economics and political science.
After graduation, Sterling served as a finance officer in the United States Marine Corps. At his last duty station in San Diego, he oversaw the Marine Expeditionary Force’s annual operating budget consisting of a $325 million Marine operations budget and over a $1 billion dollar Navy aviation budget. Sterling received his callsign “Honey Badger” while working alongside the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing for his confidence, resilience, and straightforward attitude that enabled mission success.
Sterling’s growing family was the driving factor for him to leave the Marine Corps and join the private sector. He jumped into the position of senior finance manager at the Boston-based startup, NOBULL. After moving back to the Midwest and the birth of his second child, Sterling was eager to find a Minnesota company for his services and is now excited to join Global Air Charters as the vice president of finance.
When not at work, Sterling has two kids and three dogs that keep him busy, but he always finds time to get in a workout, staying true to the Marine Corps roots. Sterling’s finance experience alongside his Marine Corps training brings a diverse skill set to Global Air Charters. He is looking forward to having a lasting impact at GAC.
