NFL Gameday Charter Flights Are Filling Up Fast

The biggest stage in American sports returns to Arizona for the first time in eight years. Let Global Air Charters charter you into the Valley of the Sun for an unforgettable experience during NFL Gameday.

Football’s biggest contest (that championship game whose proper name is off-limits for unaffiliated companies to mention) kicks off on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at 2:30 pm PST from State Farm Stadium in Glendale. Rihanna will headline the world-famous halftime show.

We love flying groups to the biggest events in the sporting world, from Formula 1 Grands Prix to this year’s World Cup in Doha, Qatar. The Big NFL Gameday in 2023 will be no different. As a private charter flyer, you have your choice of arrival airports. This will ensure your gameday experience is as relaxing and convenient as possible.

Arrival Options

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (KPHX) is already one of the busiest airports in the United States. They expect to welcome even more football visitors in 2023 than in 2015. PHX is an accessible airport for arrival. However, smaller airfields around Phoenix may be advantageous to your plans depending on where you stay or how long you’re staying.

Glendale Municipal Airport (KGEU) is the closest to State Farm Stadium. It will likely receive record-setting traffic for the days surrounding the game. The airport is only three miles west of the stadium, and accommodations in Glendale might be hard to come by this late. But we can arrive here if you’re just looking for a quick trip to the stadium.

The Phoenix Deer Valley Airport (KDVT) is a popular choice with customers who stay in the northern suburbs of Phoenix. Airport officials anticipate a higher influx of flights to Deer Valley than in 2015. They’ve committed to building a new corporate hangar to be ready before the game. If you find a rental home in this part of town, it’s only 20 miles along the 101 to the stadium from the airport.

One final option is to arrive in Scottsdale (KSCF). The tradeoff to landing here is the game’s location versus the rest of your stay. Scottsdale is a long drive from Glendale. However, many charter customers own homes on the eastern side of the Phoenix metro.

The Scottsdale Airport might also be the best arrival point if you’re staying in the northeast suburbs. This area is home to several of Phoenix’s finest luxury resorts, including the Arizona Biltmore (a Waldorf-Astoria resort) and The Canyon Suites at The Phoenician. Scottsdale might be the right destination if The Big Game is only one part of a more extended stay.
